Abstract:
DELTA [Development of European Learning through Technical Advance] is a research anddevelopment programme in the domain of education, training, retraining and continuous training. This annual report reviews the state of the art of educational technology worldwide and future prospects and against that background looks at the objectives and current status of DELTA. It gives an overview of the programmestructure and details of the five action lines on which the projects are carried out: learning systems research; collaborative development of advanced learningtechnology ; testing and validation of communications and of satellite-based open facility for testing; interoperability of software; and, promotion of favourable learning conditions. A summary of each project is included with a list of participating bodies and a contact name and address for each.
