In the first part the authors take the reader through the basic theoretical concepts related to teaching materials, and explain the key terminology in this field: a conceptual and terminological distinction between learning materials, teaching examples, as well as describe the main factors for choosing the teaching materials for in classes. In the empirical part the monograph provides some very important findings on frequency of use of teaching materials in classes and learning at home, the usefulness ratings of teaching materials, as well as to the quality of the content and didacticsResearch has also shown that teachers are less frequently use electronic documents, particularly e-learning materials to which access would be in the classroom via the Internet. This finding should in this day and age trigger a response in those make decisions on strategic investments in the school system. The authors of the study empirically proved the hypothesis that the frequency of use of teaching materials for learning at home students significantly depends on the frequency of use of similar materials at school. For teachers this is an important figure because it their decision what materials will be used for teaching, how will they be used influences the choice of the students which learning materials will they use at home
