This Quantitative Indicators of Education 2010 publication is the ninth edition of a series produced by the Finnish National Board of Education (FNBE) that describes the state and trends of education and training. The information is based on national statistics compiled by Statistics Finland along with data from the state subsidy information system and from the student admissions and educational provision systems maintained by the Finnish National Board of Education. The publication covers information from pre-primary education through to adult education as well as about applications to higher education. Statistics are primarily provided at a national level and describe trends in the 21st century. The publication ends with an English-language chapter describing Finnish education and training in international comparisons.
