Abstract:

The publication presents the outcomes of the EQUAL project "The Creation and Testing of the Mechanism of Integration of the Roma People into the Labour Market". The goal of the project was to create and test the mechanisms of the integration of the Roma people into the labour market and apply the good practice to at least one of the regions of Lithuania. The project offered training of work and additional skills, breaking of the inveterate stereotypes through direct, personal communication as well as the mass media, changing of the employers' negative notions and motivation of their actions; acquisition of the new experiences of communication and cooperation by the Roma themselves.
