Abstract:
Iðan Education Centre is developing a method that aims at precisely defining the basic activities of the institution and creating processes that will guarantee uninterrupted development and supply of services, the staff using efficient methods of work, in addition to a comprehensive overview of all the activities of the centre. The development and design of this quality system is based on the ideas of Michael Porter who introduced the concept of the value chain analysis. The value chain of IÐAN draws the attention of its customers to the question: “Why should I do business with this company? How valuable are its services to me?” It encourages them to focus on their own goals for continuing education rather than the courses themselves. Courses are not the real stepping stones but only a means to lifelong education in order to increase knowledge and competences.
