The Danish government has carried through a reform of the profession-oriented higher educations. Among other things, the reform means that teachers, pedagogues, nurses, engineers, and business economists will be educated at the so-called university colleges in the future. It is the aim that the university colleges shall contribute to turning Denmark into a leading entrepreneur and knowledge society. In this context, innovative power and the realization of innovation potential are described as key for the university colleges. The publication highlights the new university colleges and their innovation potential. To what extent are these schools conscientious of the challenges of the future, and what barriers stop them from utilizing their innovation potential?
