The study is one of the outputs of the KEGA grant agency project No. 3/3241/05 Study Programme “School Management“. It deals with some in-service teacher training issues like determining the fundamental concept of further education and in-service teacher training, as well as related terms like a scheme and systems, types, tasks, function, objectives, principles, a concept and model of in-service teacher training. Based on the theoretical and practical knowledge the author presents proposals and recommendations for improvement of in-service teacher training in practice.
