On 13 March 2006, the social partners in the Labour Foundation adopted a policy document on the training and employability of employees entitled ‘Towards broad-based, sustainable employability on the labour market’. The document is the upshot of agreements made with the government on 1 December 2005 during a ‘work summit meeting’ and can be seen as an update of the 2001 Foundation Document. By way of the central organisations, the Labour Foundation will be actively bringing this document to the attention of the collective bargaining partners and businesses.
