The book investigates Finish education system and thereby offers to Slovene professional public some stimulation for re-thinking Slovene education system. The book is written in the style that lets the readers think about possible advantages of practices in Finish schools. The weakness of Finish system is deliberately left beside. In the last chapter the authors try to comprise the most obvious “Finish suggestions” in order to stimulate the re-thinking of future steps of development of Education in Slovenia. In this sense: a. The authors deliberately focus on the suggestions for re-thinking. b. The authors warn that the case of Finland could only serve as a source of “pedagogical imagination” and should not be the subject of “copied” solutions c. The authors expose that the Finish system isn’t the only one that could be taken as study case and that there are several elements in our system that should be preserved and even strengthened.

Vsebina knjige govori o tem kaj je mogoèe na osnovi preuèevanja finskega sistema edukacije ponuditi v razmislek strokovni in drugi javnosti v Sloveniji. Delo je napisano tako, da bralke in bralce napotuje k razmisleku o mogoèih prednostih opisovane prakse v finski šoli. Šibkosti sistema, razen ponekod, avtorji namenoma pušèajo ob strani. V zadnjem poglavju pa skušajo avtorji še posebej pregledno strniti najoèitnejše »sugestije Fincev« za razmislek o stanju in prihodnjih korakih razvoja edukacije v Sloveniji.
