The paper outlines the activity of EURES – European Employment Services in Poland. The Polish EURES network groups EURES consultants and assistants from regional and poviat (county) labour offices. Their duties include provision of assistance and support to those who seek employment abroad. Based on statistical data for the period January-September 2005, the paper describes the operation and results of EURES services across the country, as well as the extent of the achievement of the adopted goals and objectives. The paper also lists selected good practices in Poland, which can show the spectrum of opportunities offered by EURES and the type of supports that both employers and employees can expect of the network. The activities of the Polish EURES network mainly serve those unemployed and job seekers who are considering going abroad for work.
