The report presents the results of a study of the interest senior general secondary education [havo] and pre-university education [vwo] show for entrepreneurship and the extent to and the conditions on which this interest can be increased in the future. The key conclusion is neither havo nor vwo pay systematic attention to entrepreneurship. The subject is only addressed indirectly in the subjects Economics and Management & Organisation. An important reason is that teachers hardly have any opportunities to pay attention to entrepreneurship. The government should take the initiative to have it more firmly rooted in the curriculum. This, however, requires the development of appropriate learning tools and methods.

Het rapport geeft de resultaten weer van een onderzoek naar de aandacht die momenteel aan ondernemerschap wordt besteed in het HAVO- en VWO-onderwijs en in hoeverre en onder welke voorwaarden meer aandacht hiervoor in de toekomst tot de mogelijkheden behoort. De belangrijkste conclusie is dat er in het HAVO- en VWO-onderwijs nog niet structureel aandacht aan ondernemerschap wordt besteed. In de daarvoor aangewezen vakken: Economie en Management & Organisatie, komt het thema slechts zijdelings aan de orde. Een belangrijke reden hiervoor is dat docenten nauwelijks mogelijkheden hebben om aandacht te besteden aan ondernemerschap.
