Abstract:
Due to the rapid pace of technological and commercial developments, lifetime employment has ceased to be an option for an increasing number of people. Accordingly, it is beneficial to both employers and employees that people can be flexibly deployed for the entire duration of their working life, even if it means finding employment for them elsewhere. In recent years, various companies have gained experience in this area by energetically pursuing policies aiming to achieve such flexibility. This publication gave authors active in this field the opportunity to present their views on what has been accomplished.
