During the 1996/97 school year survey was conducted among ninth and tenth grade lower secondary pupils, tenth grade intermediate and comprehensive school pupils and pupils in work preparation courses/vocational preparation. Pupils in one and two-year vocational schools not leading to vocational certification were also included. Directly or indirectly, nearly three fourth of the pupils intended to participate in dual system training. This represents an increase of five percent as compared to the year before.
