Questo rapporto sui fabbisogni formativi dell'area industriale bergamasca è stato condotta dalla società Spin di Torino con riferimento al sistema degli "archetipi", termine con cui si indicano delle figure professionali ricostruite teoricamente ad hoc, a puro scopo di studio e rilevazione. Per ciascuno dei settori industriali indagati (abbigliamento, chimico, elettronico, ecc.) sono stati identificati degli "archetipi" critici, emergenti, fragili o in declino. Lo studio rappresenta un valido supporto alla programmazione delle attività formative ed anche in parte alla progettazione delle medesime.
