Abstract:

This study contains ananalysis of detours - drop out and new start as well as double education - in the education system at the level of youth education. This is analysed by way ofa questionnaire sent out to pupils who started on a HF [higher preparatory examination] or a vocational course in the county of Ribe in the years 1990 and 1991. In particular some of the basic factors and motivational backgrounds behind detours are elucidated.
